City of Lignano Sabbiadoro is situated on a green Peninsula between the Lagoon of Marano, the Tagliamento River and the Adriatic Sea, halfway between Trieste and Venice. Its location allows it to offer an incredible variety of landscapes combining together sea, beach, River, lagoon and pinewood. International tourist City, offers its guests a wide range of entertainment, sports facilities, Spa and relaxation, fun and enjoyment.

Lignano offers guests 8 miles of golden sand and clean sea. Every year gets the blue flag for its clean sea. A beautiful beach equipped with modern equipment, umbrellas, lounges and gazebos, Mini-Club and children's games, entertainment for all ages, beach volleyball and beach soccer.

Lignano offers its guests many stores, restaurants and bars open all day until late evening. You can choose between a walking along the pedestrian Boulevard of Sabbiadoro or along more quiet in Lignano Pineta nicknamed "train" for its particular shape.

Designed in 1969 by arch. Bernardis and opened in 1972, with its unique architecture with shell shape and its position in the middle of the sea has become over time a symbol of the City of Lignano. Millions of tourists visit it every year.
